To answer your question, I mainly enjoy shooter, action-adventure, and puzzle/strategy games. As for my favorite franchises, well, I'm not sure I ever put the thought into making such a list. Even off the top of my mind I couldn't make one, so I guess that's my homework. When should I turn it in?
My top favorite though, with certainty, is F-Zero. I'm still waiting on Nintendo for a new entry, and every year I cross my fingers when E3 comes around.
