Yeah, same thing happened with the US site. Most of us never redeemed those codes I think because we were always waiting for that next "big" thing (that never came). I had YEARS worth of codes and thousands of coins that had expired simply due to time I guess. Sounds like the same thing was happening over there too (except you guys got much better physical items).
Still haven't heard anything about what they're replacing their loyalty program with though. I loved how they used to send you cool things for registering a game early (like Zelda feather styluses and such). Most of my Nintendo games end up sitting sealed for awhile due to backlog, but I'm interested to see if we'll have to play them by a certain date or something going forward (though I guess renters or people who borrow them could still take advantage of that).
