Yeah I mentioned hating how companies are doing this. But even if we could list 30 of them that do it does not make it right It is anti-consumer plain and simple. The worst is when the game itself is forced to their proprietary system... never mind CEs.

But yeah, it is just an strong example of wanting more profits them normal at the expense of the consumer.

You guess is towards more percentage of profits to the publishers... I would say that is a good guess The only way it will fail is if consumers stand up to it at least a little (like we did with online passes eventually, just the bad will alone they generated was eventually enough for them to pull back out of it and admit they were wrong. Same goes for the immediate reversal of XBox One's anti consumer used game system).
