Looking at the pictures it does look like it is made from simple plastics like you get in a lot of these commercial props rather than robust materials like metals, thick resin molds or carbon fiber.
Frankly I like the look and spec of the replica made here a couple years ago (
http://www.volpinprops.com/portfolio...r-halo-4reach/). The vector blueprints can be bought for $5 and the materials will run you around $100-$250 depending on what you have lying around the house and it looks much, much better if you have the know-how and patience to make it.
