Yeah, I had a feeling that would've happened with them and contemplated buying a few just to resell down the road (since I don't play the game at all), but decided not to. Those WOW pets always seem to really inflate the price once they're no longer easily available to the mass public. Must be something with the population (or sub-cultures) of people who play WoW but don't realize its a "thing" that's available when the game (D3) first launches?
Some of those pets go for hundreds and thousands of $'s alone on the auction site -- my brother bought one for ~$250 and that was JUST for the pet (I guess it was "Azrael" or something?). Justified it as being his re-deployment/signup gift to himself
To each their own though I guess... I pay hundreds of dollars for things related to a little elf in a green tunic so I guess I can't really decry anyone else's spending habits much!
