I usually do send it as a gift, especially for Secret Santas. It's unfortunate though if it ends up charging someone VAT or a similar import duty. Typically I'd report them as the $25 or whatever we deemed the appropriate "gift max" in the secret santa though so no one is surprised suddenly and hit with an unexpected (and high) duty bill for a gift that they knew nothing about. That's just me though
Also, thanks for bumping this thread -- I REALLY need to take and post some pictures of my Secret Santa gifts this year, Mrs.Clause did such a fantastic job that I feel bad I'm not publicly showing my appreciation and gratitude! I'll definitely be posting them sometime before the NEXT Secret Santa though, at least I can stick to THAT commitment timeline!
