Because of the hand-painted nature of each ship, the level of detail is excruciating. To match everything to our quality standards, we've been carefully scrutinizing every aspect of the production. It's an attention to detail you've come to expect from iam8bit, and while we hate being the bearer of news re: any delay, we assure you - the Explorer's Edition will be worth the wait as we finish production
over the next several weeks.
It's with great pleasure we reveal to you a
completed, hand-painted ship - because while we can use fancy adjectives to describe how cool it looks, we thought it better just to show you.
Unlike other "collector's editions" that use a resin process, the Explorer's Edition ship is made of tried and true
METAL. It's dense and provides a satisfying clang if you flick it. Check out the raw metal ship above for evidence of how much work goes into the finished paint job.
