I suppose the thing with that though is MS's new idea of getting rid of generations altogether means that technically speaking there might not be a separate X1 version and Series X version. MS even went as far as saying at launch there won't be any Series X exclusives as everything will play on X1 or Series X.
I have to really hand it to MS, first they utterly ruin my faith in them with this absolutely waste of a generation in terms of any worthwhile games from them and then they basically place my PS5 preorder for me, thus further entrenching me in the PS ecosystem because now there's literally no reason to pick up a Series X because I was stupid and still had faith in them that they would release any quantity of good games this gen and upgraded to their
4k Blu-Ray player Xbox One X.
Perhaps with the PS5's PS4 backwards compatibility, depending on how it works, maybe a PS5 rerelease wouldn't be necessary either.
