From my point of view the most important thing is to keep the database clear and clean. When a user highlights a color difference between 2 steelbooks with photo evidence you want to integrate this new info in the database, but like we said it is very likely these color variations will grow and grow over time because of the different factories. Also I believe the majority of the collectors don't really care.

When new info is brought up, I think you should always integrate into the list, but don't give it a prominent place like a new line. Personally i think an asterisk with the 2 regions the col. var. is between in parentheses would be a good simple solution, so for example:

Marvel’s Avengers – Earth’s Mightiest Collector´s Edition (EU,NA) (PS4,XB1) *(EU/NA)
