Hideo Kojima would have had much to say about limited editions and ensuring the price point of theses editions is affordable to the franchises HUGE fanbase. He has always been that way. The likelihood of people aiming to earn huge profit at the fans expense may be the reason for the change I'm Sure.

For example, I'm a huge fan but missed out.
I'm glad that now I have the opportunity to buy this without getting ripped off.
