My copies arrived packed the same way (but lucky very little damage if any at all). In no way am I defending Treehousebrands, but please, don't place all the blame on them for the poor packaging. This packaging method of "fit to box" is VERY VERY common across the entire Entertainment and Retail Industry. Almost every online specialty store I've had collectibles shipped from they are packaged in this manner (fit to box w/ no padding or padding only on 1 side w/ a few air packets). If your going to blame anyone, blame the fucking INDUSTRY for making this kind of packaging standard. And in case your wondering WHY it's standard - well that is simple: IT IS COST EFFECTIVE.
If you want excellent packaging that will only be provided by private sellers, and the occassional amazon or ebay seller. I've dealt with this more times than I can remember and it frustrates me to no end that these retailers can't add 1 extra step to their packaging and put some bubblewrap, peanuts or air packets on all 6 sides of the box. Doesn't have to be fancy, just has to have SOMETHING there for padding...
This is just a dream though.
Again, please don't put all blame on Treehouse, they were just following Industry standards like everyone else. They are really an excellent retail management company that I've had consistently excellent service from across all stores (mass effect, gearbox, dead space etc)
