The US edition is going for just as much as the UK one in general. Another factor in the price I imagine is the fact that PAL and NTSC versions individually do not play on the other system. FFXIII wasn't locked, so PAL version works on NTSC systems and vice versa, but not FFXIII-2.
The price may ebb down to lower levels if more Crystal Editions are released, but at the moment what is out there is limited, but not on the same level as a numbered release. It's just in high demand I guess, which is funny because the only extra you're getting in the Crystal Edition is a very simply designed t-shirt. The Collectors Edition has everything, bar the shirt.
So basically you're paying a hundred pounds or so for a shirt. It's beyond me why the price has so dramatically inflated.
