Been in tears about this all morning.
Originally the page on Zavvi's site said that you would not be charged until dispatch, this was removed prior to it going up on sale, and replaced with "you'll be charged when you order" yada yada yada.
People on facebook posted that after ordering, they received a message stating that they wouldn't be charged until dispatch.
Due to the fact of me having no money to afford the payment right now, I phoned Zavvi to see which statement was correct.
The girl told me that no money would be due up front, you would just pay it all on dispatch.
I went to the bank today and I've been charged the full amount, leaving me no money to pay my bills this month.
I phoned Zavvi this morning to complain (whilst sitting outside the bank, crying
) and they said, "originally we were only to charge a small amount for the sending of the keys, and everything else would be charged on dispatch, but this was causing problems with our system so we just charged the full amount up front for everybody instead"
I moaned at them, since I'd been told NO money would be taken and all they had to say was "well, you've been given wrong information then, sorry"
FUCKING IDIOTS.
So I asked if they could cancel, and return my money to me, and they said no, it's impossible to cancel now since the orders have been processed (and apparently my order is now in their warehouse
)
Anyway. Long story short. I am fuming. I've run out of tears now, but thankfully my mum loaned me the money to cover my bills.
ARRRGGGHH.
