Well, I mean, it's all a moot point if someone can afford it and it's worth that much to them...more power to them I say.
But for me...I collect all the G1 video game Steels because i love the variety and awesome designs...and i'm a big video game nerd/junkie! I don't do G2 because i am a PC gamer and again, there are far more exclusives and rares with G1/
That said, even I have a limit on price...even though i have a lot of rares in my collection, a lot of it was due to making friends willing to help out with good deals, rather than spending crazy amounts of money for Steels. With close to 100 G1 VG Steels, I can safely say that 95% of it is in perfect condition (there are a few, like 5-6 of the older titles that may have a VERY minor ding here or there, but they're so hard to find now that I was okay with them not being perfect), and I didn't have to break my wallet for any of them, even for the rare ones.
