@Viridius, Dave, Vhal:
Thanks guys! I want to be honest with you. The M8 is not what I expected. I have never owned anything this valuable, 650$ total cost + 60$ shipping, so it was about 700$, and I have to tell you I was disappointed. Let me be clear: The M8 looks and performs EXACTLY as advertised. So why you ask am I disappointed? Because the craftsmanship of the M8 is not as detailed and intricate up close as I thought it was from picture. Many aspects of the M8 are "glued on" parts and stickers. The lighting effects leave much to be desired and there is no working "laser" or anything that can shoot out of the front (which there should be - at the very least a laser like the DS replicas). Instead, the trigger doesn't even move!
Probably the MOST disappointing aspect of all, from a collector standpoint, is the fact that the M8 is NOT numbered on the actual replica. NO where. It's not even numbered on the outer collector's box. The numbering is really obscure. You see a hand written # on the outside of the foam the replica sits in, and the actual #__ out of __ (the proper numbering) is, of ALL places, on the SHIPPING BOX! Jesus. Tell me that is not fucking retarded people...? You can see from the picture above...
Another BIG reason for my disappointment, is the fact that after several personal lengthy conversations with the sales manager at TriForce about "proper packaging protection" of my ENTIRE M8 (including the collector's box) and waiting months waiting for a decision and reply, he told me before release day that they could not change their packaging method. They planned from the beginning on using the "industry standard" method, which I call "Fit to box" appropriately. It basically means there is a box inside a box without any protection for the inner box (which is the collector's box). Pathetic. I figured TriForce would rise above the rest of the industry but they didn't. So, because of this poor packaging, the collector's box for my M8 (the one with designs on it) was damaged pretty bad (not severe) but bad enough. Dents/creases etc. A collector's nightmare my friends. Do not buy this M8.
