He means they don't have boxes. Not that they're just opened.
I open all of my figures pretty much, but I always keep the packaging (not for resale purposes, because most times, once opened they drop anyway) but because I'm a hoarder and don't like to get rid of things
I've got all the packaging for all of my Skylanders, even though they're all open
