I do believe that you all are getting better with the way you all pack stuff, but I've had more than a handful of items arrive damaged. The latest we're my Mass Effect Homeworlds books that arrived with dinged up corners.

It is both snug and completely surrounded by six pieces of styrofoam.
Very valid complaint. In our limited defense, we don't actually package or send anything ourselves. Our warehousing and fulfillment is handled by a 3rd Party Logistics company, and we battle with them over the quality of their packaging fairly often. We try to set guidelines, and we escalate different issues with them when those guidelines aren't followed, and we evolve how things are supposed to be done as we experiment and learn and get feedback, but it's a bit tough when it's essentially out of our hands. One of the reasons these boxes are arriving to the warehouse ready to be shipped right out is so that we can eliminate another possible point of failure between the factory and getting to you. (This sounds a bit like they're all bad, which is neither the truth, nor the point I'm trying to make. They do a fair amount of special accommodations for us, and often at short notice, and most packages are delivered without incident, but they're not quite as careful or perfect all the time as we'd like for our customers [though, that's an impossibly high bar, and would almost certainly be equally true of any solution short of doing it ourselves].)
We do always try to take care of people when things are damaged, in transit or otherwise, though. There is a certain degree of littler imperfections that have to be chalked up to "shit happens", but if there's real damage, we'll always work with you to try to make it right.
