Hmmm that's cool and all, but it's for the Wii......is it even worth it??

Well, it's a Wii exclusive, and part of a 12-13 year old franchise, so if you're a fan of the series then I would say yes, it is worth it.

it's probably just another excuse for them to pretend that the Wii can be used for Gun games... even though the Wii Remote is horrible compared to a legit gun controller.

I second that. I find the Wii controller isn't really accurate enough - Something i've noticed whilst playing some basic shooting games on Wii Play. I haven't played any of the Wii House Of The Dead games, so I can't really comment. Seems as if Sega are the only ones interested in this genre on the Wii though, which surprises me as I thought Namco would've taken advantage of the Wii-mote for their franchises

well a real light gun tracks the position of the gun in relation to the screen.

the Wii remote track the position of the gun in relation to the sensor bar.

so if your TV is 5inches wide or 50 inches wide doesn't matter to the Wii because 1degree of adjustment moves the pointer the same % across the screen.

No matter what size or shape screen you're using with the Wii it never "shoots" where you're pointing it because for all it knows you don't even have a screen to look at.

unfortunately traditional light guns don't work on anything but old Tube TVs, they do make legit "light guns" that work on a more advanced system than what Nintendo uses with large sensor bars on either side of, or completely around the parameter of the screen (this is how projection arcade machines do gun tracking)... the only proper light gun setup like that I've seen was a 3rd party accessory for the PS2/PC.

I have no idea idea what the Time Crisis 4 PS3 gun setup is like but I would HOPE it's IR based... I would suspect the reason HOTD being released for the Wii is two fold
1. everyone who owns a Wii alreay has a "gun controller" meaning the game can be released without one at a cheaper price (=more potential sales)
2. the Wii has a larger market share (=more potential sales)

I'd totally buy HOTD4 if they released it with a gun controller for the 360... but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Very nice! I think most people expected a similar box set here in the UK, with at least one 'Hand cannon', but all we received was a stupid slipcase and a comic. Nothing special.

Do you have any other information regarding this edition? Was it exclusive to any particular store? Could you provide any links? I will add it to teh database as soon as I have enough information!

Well i'm still waiting for the "stupid slipcase and a comic" edition.
And i got The bang bang box today. I orderded it at DVDcrave.com.
But it is availabale at more site's... australian site's that is.
HereĀ“s the link https://ssl.dvdcrave.com/products/product.jsp?pid=47986

And here is the info of the pack:
Product Description:
Bang Bang Box Set Includes - House of the Dead Collectors Edition Game Includes Collectors Sleeve and exclusive Prelude to an Overkill Graphic Novel starring Valla Guns! - 2 x HOTD commissioned AMS Hand Cannons. These are a replica of the hand cannons used by Agent G in the game. The hand cannons will also allow firing from the trigger with a new advanced mechanism that allows the player to shoot as they would in real life.

And i also have a pack from Holland with the game and one handcannon.
And i payed 60 euro for it in the pre-order and today it is only 38 euro... that is within one day... sucks.

But anyway here is a picture of that too:

In this package there is a handcannon with a black handle wich is different from the cannons you can buy elsewhere.

Until now everything is still sealed, butt i have to choose one to open...
Cause i realy want to try it... but wich one
