Assassins Creed II Black Edition Packaging

Hello,
I've recently purchased a 2nd hand AC II Black Edition with statue (in excellent condition). The statue was not in the cardboard base that slides in his feet. The cardboard base (that looks like the actual plastic base) with the tiling print has the slot for his feet but no opening to slide it in. And there's no way to put the statue back in the base.

I have watched a few unboxing videos and they all have a little slot to slide the statue in or out!

I can post pictures if no one knows what I'm going on about.

It's an Australian version.

I think what he is saying is that the cardboard piece that comes with the black edition (the square cardboard piece that mimics the tiliing on the base of the statue) doesn't have any slits/holes so that it could be attached to the statue
)

It's the cardboard tile piece that hides the base of the statue when in the box

Not sure if I understand you, but that pic is weird. My black CE hasnt got anything like that, only the circle like in white or master assassin

Just looked and that is not possible the statue does not come off of the base

OK so I read it without reading the (these things) air bubble things and it made sense
So it must have been a manufacturing defect, and no one was qualified with the use of a knif to cut it and no one was smart enough to replace it


So new question
What's the problem?
