Default The Art of Darksiders (Limited Edition Hardcover)

From the UdonStore: "We have also uncovered a very small supply of the original, sold-out The Art of Darksiders: Limited Edition HC, which is also currently available for immediate order and shipping."

http://www.udonstore.com/JOE-MADUREI...ksiders-hc.htm

Personally, I'd like to know how you "uncover" a small supply of something like this (supposedly limited to 500 copies). There are 40 copies available at the moment, which I do not consider a small supply (8% of the original printing). So I find it very hard to believe that they just missed these in their inventory. Guess it could be returns or maybe some extras printed to cover damaged copies that weren't needed -- which would mean there are more than 500 copies out there anyway. Either way, there are 40 copies available at this moment, so if you've been on a quest to find this, here it is!

They have also announced a Limited Edition Hardcover for the Art of Darksiders II: "UDON Entertainment is proud to announce to the world the existence of our newest Limited Edition Hard Cover: The Art of Darksiders II."

It says nothing about how many are actually being produced from what I can see, however, it's been for sale for about two and half weeks and there are 186 left right now, so probably around 500 would be my guess. I'm growing skeptical of their practices though; so who knows.

I have seen this practice of "discovering stuff" after things get sold out plenty of times before.. Not sure the reasons behind this, maybe someone who has seen it first-hand could shed some light on this.

But that's good news for those looking for this!

I bought the last signed hardcover awhile back from them... I sure hope its a legit "Limited Edition", the Hardcovers are supposed to be Limited to 500 and 250 of those are signed by Joe Mad.

Or it could be 500 hardcovers and another 250 signed... never was sure on that.

To be honest Darksiders 1 wasn't all that popular so i can see why they probably didn't sell all their hardcovers when the soft covers were so much cheaper... let me put it in perspective, Darksiders 1 only sold around 1 million copies and Darksiders 2 has sold over 4 million and wasn't considered a success by THQ (because of time and money they invested and their expected sales).

Also where are you getting these "sold" and "in stock" numbers from, I don't see any of that on the website.

Try adding a large number of them to you cart, say 200. It will then pop up a message saying that they don't have enough stock to cover your order and replace it with the number that they could fulfill.

What about amount sold... not knowing how many there were to begin with? Or was that a subtraction based on the 500 copies guess (D2 HC)?

Just assuming there were 500 copies to begin with...could be wrong.

There are roughly 39 copies in stock. That's 7.8% of the original stock. Suspect for sure.
