I have heard theory that yellow spot marks that game is for/from United Arab Emirates (there is PAL) region

Had a discussion about this the other day. It's on some PEGI first party Sony games. Not entirely sure but most definitely to do with region. I'll do some emailing see what I can find out.

GameTrigger is right. It's to do with identifying stock that has been imported.
