Hello, here is a handheld Avid collector!

Hello

I got introduced to this forum by my friend Queeny, she always mention this community to me, so here i am.
Anyway, "listen to my story" -tidus, FFX
i love handheld systems, my first experience was the gamegear when i was 6 yrs old, but the first one i ever owned was the gameboy color which i got when i was 12 with the pokemon yellow game ( which was unfortunately bootleged ) from there got the original GBA with other bootleged games (really, there were no authentic games, and i didn't even know the difference) .. And then, on 2005 my love was revealed a handheld playstation system (i love playstation, at that time i had psx and ps2) and when the psp came out less .. I got the DS before it .. That ugly silver thing..with no pokemon game to play with.. Hated it and wished the day the psp comes out and it did, and i bought it months months later with a super cool little RPG called popolocrois, and more great games came.. And my love expanded more and more..
Anyway.. Got back later to the DS after getting the DSi with pokemon platinum which is my fav pokemon game to date.. Later were the days the new generation was revealed, the 3ds and the ps vita.. Got the PSvita day one (i love you sony) and then got the 3dsxl when it first came out..
I started collecting handheld systems few months back adding the wonderswan color, gamegear, GBAsp and the GBA micro.. I want to complete all nintendo handheld systems (except the virtual boy, i don't want the blinding thing)
And i might go for the psp 3000 and psp go later on since i already have the 1000 and 2000..

I also love collecting for the big systems, i get any CE/LE i'm interested in for any game i think i will get to play with..
But my main focus is handheld..
I would love to get my hands on the neo geo pocket and other older handhelds..

This concludes my story
I will be posting pictures of my collection soon hopefully.. I just wanted to introduce myself, since i felt bad just barging in without an introduction..

welcome! can't wait to see your pics!!!...I love visiting U.A.E...I just started collecting Nintendo 3DS XL handhelds..so far I have 4 of them...2 from Japan and 2 from US.

Welcome friend! Great to hear your intro story! My only complaint is why no love for the Virtual Boy? True, its not really "handheld" but I enjoyed it... who cares if you go blind from playing it?

Just finished taking pictures, it was alot of work lol.. But in the end i got nothing compared to the other collectors in this forum.. But hopefully you can enjoy what little i have so far..
The problem with the 3ds is that it's locked region so i will have to get one Pal and one Japanese at least .. There is some pal games i want that might not get a us release so i'm a bit anxious..
And welcome to the UAE whenever you want.. I would recommend it in winter though

I had an interest in the VB at one point, but the more i knew about it, the less i wanted it.. But that is a bit weird.. My fav color is red so i should be all over it hahAhah.. Well.. Maybe one day, who knows..

so here i got the pictures ready.. just to tell you it's not that impressive but still i'm very proud of what i have now, and i hope i can expand it..

so this is my whole handheld systems collection so far:




my gamegear collection, i just got the gamegear so this is just a start:




the Wonderswan and a few games i got as a bundle, This is also just a start i got last month:




The gameboy Advance collection, and those are the only 3 Authentic games in my collection unfortunately, i didn't bother taking pictures of the bootlegged ones, i have decent number but i'm not too proud of them, my aim now is replacing what i have with the original which would be a bit tough since most of them are a bit expensive at this point:

as you can see there is some gameboy, GBA games in the last picture, which hopefully i can replace them with authentic games one day since most of them just doesn't work, or i've beaten and died after a while.. some are still works fine, but still.. have to replace them..

you have a great collection!!!..I never knew a white game gear even existed..that 1 piece boat is awesome!!..I never got one it sold out in PAL way too fast!!!..thank u for sharing!!!

That gamegear actually is a custom painted one that i found on ebay, i was looking for refurbished one and this one cought my eyes, the paint is really well done..
