interestingly, the pal version did not have the “do not sell before..” part on it.

A lot of major US releases get that sticker on them both regular and special editions.

most games actually ship from the warehouse on release day but big titles like Gears, Halo, etc.. where they expect people to be lined up to buy it at midnight, they'll actually ship it to stores as much as a week early, and then they put those huge stickers on it to keep the dumb clerks from accidentally selling it before the release date.

Yeah my Halo 3 Legendary edition has orange stickers on it saying do not sell before
