It's $35 to ship to the UK, it must seriously heavy or they are using an expensive courier.

Yea no doubt. I'll wait. Seems like they still have left over Blazblu Continuum shift CE at discount price.

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
Preordered. Considering how fast the CE of Hyperdimension Neptunia sold out and that GGXX^+ is only limited to 200 copies, I doubt it'll be much left of them in the long run.
The A.B.A. prints seem to be sold for ridiculous amounts in Japan: http://www.neoempire.com/?p=7909 |

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
Firstly, I'm not sure I like this "Choice" between artwork books. Surely any collector would want both? This effectively means there will be six different combinations in total, and also means that any true collector or fan would have to buy duplicate copies of the same game to obtain both artwork books...
Secondly, I got burnt last time with Zen's BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Fan Edition CE which was just a bunch of merch bundled inside a brown shipping box. This makes me slightly wary of ordering from them again... However, they do state that it will all be packaged within a beautiful presentation box Thirdly, delivery is £20 to the UK, but I guess the 10th Memorial Book is a massive hardback coffee table book which weighs a ton! Still, that makes this edition £100, and for that kind of money I would expect to have both artwork books! Sub Total:£66.66 Delivery:£20.00 Vat @ 20%:£17.33 Total:£103.99 Ideally i'd want to obtain one of each for all three consoles, as I collect for Wii, PS2, and PSP, but at £66.66 (EDIT: Actually £79.99 with VAT, plus they charge VAT on the delivery charge as well!) each I don't think that is going to be a possibility - Especially seeing as how it will be a tough choice between one of the artwork books or the other... I am guessing that you could obtain both if buying two of the above, and teh only difference in the contents is the actual game included Last edited by Gemini-Phoenix; 04-12-2011 at 07:05 PM. |

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
Obviously there are only going to be 200 of these on offer. So what's the general census on this? What format is everybody going for, and which of the two books? I guess T Shirt size is dependant on the size of the collector, but would either of the books be more sought after than the other?
The games can be obtained easily on their own at a later date, so I doubt very much that it matters which is ordered at the checkout (Personal preference I guess), but I suspect the important decision here is which book you order... I suppose to get everything you would have to order a minimum of two copies, and then buy the third format separately at a later date I am also thinking that this could even be the very last PS2 CE we see, so would a PS2 version be more in demand than the Wii or PSP versions? |

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
I personally went for the Wii version, I can't imagine there would be more copies of that compared to the PSP and maybe even PS2. Also I can simple purchase the other games afterwards.
As the Art book, I went for the limited Edition Art book. but the 10th Memorial Artbook in Japan is somewhat rare and expensive. How rare the other Art book is, is anyone guess. |

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
I went with the Wii version and the 10th Memorial Artbook, mainly because upscaling a PS2 game on a PS3 isn't really that great compared to hooking up a Wii via component, or at least that's my opinion. Considering that BlazBlue sucked on the PSP and other GG haven't transferred that well over to the PSP, I remain unconvinced that this one will be any better. Zen United also released GGXX^+ on the PS2 in Europe last year, on a sidenote.
Edit: Oh, and I went for the 10th Memorial Artbook mainly from the looks of the ad. The limited edition artbook looks kinda thin and flimsy, but that might not be the case IRL. |

Re: Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus Collectors Edition Pre-orders open
Quote:
I chose the PS2 version of the game as I suspect that there may be fewer PS2 copies circulated than PSP or Wii, due to the PS2 nearing the end of its life and very few new PS2 games being released these days. Saying that, the PSP is almost nearing the end of its life cycle and due to be replaced by the NGP by the end of the year, so maybe fewer copies of the PSP version will be circulated Out of the three, I am certain the Wii version will be the easiest to locate on eBay as a sole game than the other two for a while after release. I wish my funds could stretch to buying two or more of these, but alas I have to save some for other CE's due out in the next month or so I'm surprised that no-one has been an arsehole and decided to purchase a bulk load with the intention of doubling their money on eBay after these sets become OOP. I am even more surprised that Kotaku haven't picked up on this yet either, as I am sure they will soon disappear as soon as it appears on there... |
