Probably a list of compatible software for 360 would be useful lol, given that play-asia leaves a lot of them in question

Yes it is region free.

As a general rule, multi-platform titles tend to be region free for xbox 360. There are very few which are region locked.

Not always the case Cosmic - games I know that are definately region locked are Dark Souls & Catherine and they're both multi-platform.

This is a good site that regularly updates their list.
