I've got a ton of guides, but it seems that "Collector's Edition" guides is only a recent thing as all of my guides from my pre-360 days don't really specify that.

For CE guides I've only got a few (including some that are en route):

- Fable III
- Batman:AC (Catwoman)
- Tomb Raider

I may have more, but would have to look through the bins!

CE guides have really started to take off since last fall or so but have been around for a while

We had a discussion in another thread somewhere about the earliest collector's edition guide

My requirements for it to be a CE guide are that there has to be at least 2 different unique variants

I.E. it's not a ce guide if ALL copies of the guide are CE guides

I believe the earliest found was a Diablo II guide with a unique cover art on it so 2000???

That conversation starts here: http://collectorsedition.org/forums/...790#post130790

And continues for a little while

Only have 11 CE on my 80 guide collection (mostly PS2 but CE for them rarely existed back then)

Not sure if I can put Bayonetta 400 page guide as CE

There is a true hardcover collector's edition guide for bayonetta though

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bayonetta-Of...ayonetta+guide

One of the most expensive to get on the 2nd hand market as the english version was only released in the UK like the killzone CE guides

Ah ok then yes that's just a CE guide

$75 is a good price for it as importing it is a pain since it's so heavy

Yeah I know they pop up over here every once in a while but that just means that someone along the line imported it as it was definitely never sold anywhere in NA

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I've been collecting guides for years, guess I never paid attention until recently though that they started becoming "CE".

(Also, I don't make it a habit of necro'ing threads - this one came up in my search for something and didn't realize it was a bit dated)
