Nah that was actually my 2nd copy of halo 4 as I got one as a gift then bought a LE version for like 30 bucks shipped near launch

Still good practice I imagine to never do shiny side down, think xbox discs (dvds) are more susceptible than Ps3 discs (blurays) but it's been awhile since I've heard 2 fan boys go at it over that topic
You should get on IrC more often then

We'll all soon be moving to blu-ray, so well.

You could always have you discs sanded/polished or whatever word means: cutting off a tiny part of the plastic protecting the data-layer in english

You would be theoretically be losing part of the product.

Yeah I think so as well

I'm curious though if the nextbox will play blu ray movies as the wii and wii u technically use blu ray disc technology but nintendo didn't want to pay the licensing fees to make them play dvds or blu rays

Hey it's not my fault they don't let kids in liquor stores or bars

I mean who said having kids meant you couldn't go to any of your regular haunts?

jk I don't have kids albeit I'm sure I'll be more responsible if I ever do

Play physical discs, you say?

Hmm, don't remember doing that for ages.

Looks at folders with 50 Gb ISO's.

Aside from that we need a new Blu-Ray standard for 4K and chipsets capable of handling it.

This is going off-topic...

you gotta think tactically go to pubs with kids menus then just leave them to their own devices

me local has lego and a play mat right next to a log fire

Hmmm yeah but i was more talking about the standards to be used then what the future surely holds

And we do need a new standard for 4k but they've been able to add more layers than needed to blu-ray discs for a while, just need to start producing them en masse to make it semi-cost effective

Although an actually set standard would have to be written down etc. but technologhy is of course there

And don't worry it's my intro thread so you're not going off topic bud
