I bought both the painted and unpainted versions. I'm still on the fence about the unpainted one. Not sure how I feel about it. I didn't want to miss out on it so went ahead and got it anyway. I asked for low and matching numbers, unsure if they'll comply with the request but figured it wouldn't hurt. If I don't get matching numbers and the unpainted doesn't just blow me away I might consider letting it go. Doubtful though as I've never let anything go from my collection that I didn't have at least two of. Will just have to see when it shows up.

That would have been the only way I'd buy it, and I'd probably even still regret it.

It seems like everyone is in agreeance with the unpainted statue. No one likes it and the only reason people want it is because it's "limited".

I like the unpainted statue as I've already stated in this very thread

Are there other possible options that I'd have preferred more? Sure but rarely I have ever received the "perfect" collectable. Everything could be a bit better.

The unpainted ACIV statue is fine

I admit the only reason I buy this was it is Limited. that is all.
who's statue collector will display unpainted (incomplete) statue, right?
well, its just for the sake of collection, and its rarity, that's why I buy it

see the thing was that i missed it because i was about to pre order it then i did not because i was waiting for my paycheck to go though and boom. no more available.

It is not 'incomplete' it is an industry standard and well known in art collecting for paintings or sculptures...

The ap is exactly what it says it is... A limited early run for the artist to approve all the qualities - finished design, production, etc and this happens in every area of art collecting and these invariably become the rarer more valuable,e pieces valued by genuine collectors for their uniqueness and scarcity but I also understand those who want one from the final run of articles..
