Even if you're not buying as an investment is just bad business and I do not like being lied to. You should not be ok with shady companies that pull that type shit because they think they can get away with it. If they are going to have more than 5,000 they should be upfront about it.

That type of thing only really matters for monetary value, though. I'm not someone who will ever sell, so I wish there were 30k+ of every steel and CE made. Then they would all get cheaper eventually! I fully agree that they should NOT lie, and they should be upfront. It's just that--depending on why one wants the item--a situation like this can be of no consequence at all.

With that being said, there's no actual proof to how many CE's have actually been sold.

look at SRIV GOTG edition... that was "limited" with a limited numbering plaque and next thing you know they were still being sold on amazon, a month or less after it was sold out.

Very true. It's a very niche series, and SE having little to no marketing for it--and the CE being a SE store exclusive on their shitty store to boot--certainly aren't helping. They may have cut the pre-orders off from the first round at a set number to save some for later. Or maybe they cancelled all of play canada's orders, so like half the stock opened back up... lol

It was about a week for SRIV if I remember correctly and I trust video companies less and less because of stuff like that. I do not like be played for a sucker while game companies feel it's alright to lie to their customers and take our money. If you are going to say you are making X copies make X copies. If not just say its a super limited edition and make 10 million for all I care. Just do not put a number on it if you have no intention of sticking to it.

I am not saying SE is doing that here but you should not be alright if a company decides to change the edition size.
