I can only speak to the US market though and since I've been eyeballing one of these I can probably be pretty accurate excluding sealed because I'm not a sealed collector. Also, price usually fluctuate a bit with the "player's choice" versions being cheaper. Here's the average pricing I've seen between the two though:
- sealed - Around $150 but sometimes closer to $200 depending on player's choice or not
- CIB - around $50 (buy it now ended recently for $42 with everything included)
- "Good" condition CIB - ~$40
- Cart only - ~$25-30

Hope that helps ya.
Oh. I prefer pal because Id play them as well, so it Doesnt make Sense to buy it sealed. I got the game (cardridge only) but because of it i wondered how its possible that I dont own any snes games with package. I also got super mario world as a cardridge but now i am hunting a boxed Version of it. The cheapest one (which i would take because its also the one with the Best package Condition) was 140 Euros/160$ AS NEW)

What is CIB though? I just thought it would mean complete in box but i assume thats wrong.

whats players choice or what does it look like? I always saw the original black Box or a Red one saying classic edition or something in it. But no players choice

Yeah CIB = "complete in box", just means that everything is there and in almost like-new condition

"Players Choice" is the Nintendo (US) equivalent of "Greatest Hits" or "Classics" or whatever they call it over there and for other systems. Its generally a reprinted version of the original and so fetches less $ from collectors.

Yeah SMW goes for a good price over here too boxed, mainly because most copies came WITH the SNES without the box. In fact most SNES games fetch a pretty penny when boxed. I've got quite a few of the rare ones I've kept though most are damaged from use and time. I've been slowly trying to upgrade my box conditions and putting them in protectors over the past few years but there's just been too many NEW things that I've wanted. Hard to do both on a limited budget.

Oh! Alright. I wont buy the players choice editions then.. Even though i like the red package a Bit better than the Black but only on some game artworks. You think 140€/160$ would be okay for the smw? I cant find any other 'as new' offers or offers where the Box isnt damaged as hell.

I got kind of an odd goal. I want to get every game (boxed) that was released in europe..got inspired by:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Complete-US-...l2557#viTabs_0

It may sound absurd, but I really wanna do this and I know itll cost me a lot of money and will take years but I think thats a pretty nice goal. Hope its not impossible though. Im also on a limited budget so itll take even longer :p

But I wanna start with the classics of the SNES which might be the most expensive (I also want to play them, because I never did.) The only games I played when I was a child was Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country 2 or 3. I missed titles like Zelda, Secret of Mana and many more that seem to be some real good games and real classics (according to their resale value). But Im only 17 years old so, I started playing snes in 2001 2002 or something :p

EDIT: I might limit my span a bit though. So not all europe releases, but all games with such a cult status like Super Mario or Zelda has.

Doing some "spring cleaning" on my collection to get rid of some odds and ends I don't want/need anymore.

I have a promotional "Biohazard" tube and city poster that came with Prototype when it released. Worth anything?

That's quite a noble goal indeed. Also crazy to see that went for over 20k. I used to have a boxed SNES collection with well over 350 games. I didn't collect "all", just RPGs and games that I thought I'd enjoy. Crazy to think how much I could've gotten selling them now instead of tossing them back then.

Anyway, if that's your goal you'll really need to be diligent about it. I don't know the PAL/EU market at all for these things so i honestly can't tell you if that's a good price for SMW. It seems a bit high honestly, but that's because I always buy cheap and will miss out on auctions if they are even $1 above my max (had to learn to be disciplined). You might be right that its the only decent condition one on there now, and if you need it now, then go ahead, but it most certainly won't be the only one EVER on there. So its all a matter of your wants/needs/budget and patience.

Something also to be aware of is that THAT seller collected these as "used" games and such over the course of a decade or so, possibly when the games were not considered as "retro" as they are now and arguably were more available than today's market. If you're going to hunt for them, be sure to look places other than eBay because you're going to want to run into some large (and cheap) sales either locally or on other forum sites dedicated to these things if its your goal.

Snagged this on eBay for about 100 bucks. Seller said it was only given to employees as a gift. Can anyone give more some more info on it and maybe a potential value? Thanks!

Errr... firstly the seller is a member here.

Secondly, I think this one you can get it from some print.. I remember StayFree told me something about the availability of this piece... I think someone here can shed more light.. I will try to dig more info for you. I could be wrong, just let me ask around..

Diablo 3 collector's Edition brand new and still sealed? Also I wonder if the collector's edition is still sought-after even after 10 years from now knowing that this is an online only game and maybe it's not playable anymore, could be the server is closed for good or something.
