I hope that Nintendo make more of an effort with the packaging of this than they did previously with the Mario 25th Anniversary release. That was flimsy as a cereal packet! I would like to see this packaged in the more sturdy box packaging that they have been using for the larger Wii-U box sets and also the more recent 3DS console boxes


On another note: Why do Nintendo still insist on adding hangtabs to such products? I know that they finish off the packaging nicely, opposed to just a plain boring box, but they seem redundant these days. They are difficult to fit on a shelf alongside normal games, and very few retailers actually use them to hang (in the UK at any rate, for theft & damage reasons). No self-respecting collector would dare hang it up for fear of damaging it. What purpose does it serve in 2015?

yes i hate the hand tags as well.it is a euro PAL thing..in US we don't get Nintendo releases with hangtags

Yeah, don't get those here -- though I just found out one of my Lunar CEs (PS1) DOES have a hang tab on the back -- never noticed it before cuz it just blends in with the back of the outer box, but now that I know its there I'm so tempted to pull it off... but I just can't do it and ruin the gorgeous box art!
