ok so finally opened mine and I have to say I'm disappointed by this CE - the plastic used is sooo cheap and all the fingers are the same size so it looks a bit weird, on the plus side the steelbook is a bit better looking than I imagined...but overall a missed op, the arm should have been better quality.

What makes it worse is the poor packaging from game meant some damage to the box and because they use some glue type stuff to stick the card on the outside of the 'presentation box' it's damaged the card and 'blistered' the cheap box.

Edit - added pics;

Just to say, I'm not being lazy, I wouldn't like to do that, I've searched but can't quite make out the issue as different places seem to all be slightly varying things or not giving enough detail but you guys actually have the first-hand experience.

I've got my CE and it came with two codes, one marked as Day One Content and the other being MGS Online stuff, I redeemed the Day One stuff and it redeemed as Day One CE Content which gave me a total of 16 addons according to my PS4 library, so is that correct for the CE or is that Day One stuff?
Counting the addons listed on the Game site seems to be more than that. But that's where my second problem comes, the code for the Metal Gear Online stuff says it's invalid, is that due to unlock at a later date or is that part of the problem too?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It seems Konami was lazy again and was using the same piece of paper for the Day One Edition and the CE.
According to the following sheet "your" 16 addons should be the content for the CE. Day One content was much less.

I suppose the online content isn't working because MGSO isn't online yet.

What i know is that only in the US-version of the CE the codes are missing.

I think it is the color (like the console). That type of red book cheaper then it is. I thought it was decent and accurate. Also I learned the fingers on snake's bionic arm are all the same because it is a bionic arm and not a real one.

Also people need to remember... you paid $40 for a replica, DLC, steelbook, and collectors box. Not too bad really considering the replica is like $10 in that math. I think people look at it as $100 and forget they would have spent $60 just for the game (I do this too and have to correct myself all the time).

Eh, sorry but actually us over here didn't pay $40.

I personally don't have a complaint about the edition (other that possibly being a little light on physical content) but for the sake of clarity, Gaz is from the UK too where in total it was £100, so we paid £60 for that additional content (since the plain game is around £40), that works out at ~$91.46.

Even worse, the collectors edition is $250 here in aus, versus about $70 for the game.

So we are paying $180 for that extra content.... :s

Ah, I see. I forget how you guys get screwed on conversion. But it is kind of comparable as the game cost is a lot more so is the item cost (I mean game to content cost comparison). I have found that VAT is why your items are so high over there. When I order from EU and they take the VAT off it makes a huge difference (20% almost.. 19 I think).

But here in the US where it was $99 (though I paid $150 on second hand market) it was a good deal, or at the very least a decent value. Thousands would pay $40 for that replica alone if it were for sale.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Personally I like the replica, it's got some nice detail on it with all the writing and little bolts and the movement is nice on it.
One one hand (no pun intended) the full one would've been nice but realistically on the other, the half one might actually have been a better choice for me personally, not only for the cost which would've probably been eye-watering to import it but also for space, heh, I genuinely have no idea where I could've fitted a full-size arm.

Vlad I was just thinking that... they should have done the full size worldwide. Maybe offered both at different price levels. To be honest it would not cost much more to produce... it is plastic after all.

But they had to do it for Japan... cuz you know, reasons.

$250 is a ludicrous price here in Australia, should have been $150 tops.

I got mine from Amazon which arrived yesterday, cost me around $175 shipped. When I got it, it had a ding in the top corner from the crappy way it was packed. Bit annoyed about that but what can you do? Had a whinge to Amazon & got $30 partial refund so it isn't all bad.

The hand is a bit on the cheap side, I really wanted the steelbook anyway.
