I bought the last one off him I generally never pay this amount to scalpers but it's something personally worth it for me sigh. Still really upset had to pay 4x the amount. Guess it's part of a collector's life. Here's to being broke.

How do you guys handle the risk that at the end you will receive nothing from that scalpers? Release date is far away and I guess eBay buyer protection does not cover such a long period.

Not to mention that selling items not yet released is against their policy. I am always shocked they keep supporting these pre-order listings instead of wiping them out.

I think it's definitely a risk, only reason I took it is cos I bought from this seller multiple times before and he has very good feedbacks. There were cheaper options by up too 100$, was tempted, but not as many feedbacks so I didn't want to risk it since the cost is already hefty as hell.

What my seller informed me:
1. No order cancellations can be made as this wait is fairly long
2. Presale confirmation given to me through message
3. Monthly updates from seller to ensure my order is not forgotten and secured starting Nov 1 and every month up until release date.

It definitely sucks to miss out on stuff. Waiting forever for the news on the special editions, only to miss the reveal by a day or two, then to go PO only to find that you already missed the window! It’s like sheesh! I’ve been waiting forever for this and now I’ve already missed it!

I WILL end up with an Ellie Edition and the statue I know that for a fact! Cause I know I will part with my hard earned money because having these in my collection brings me joy.

I remember when years ago I tried to win the Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition I told my family what it was going for on eBay. I’m sure if I had won one they would have expected me to sell it for a couple grand. But I didn’t care what it was worth online I would never sell it.

Even now I won’t sell it. It sucks to have that mentality. The scalpers exist because of people like me.

I just got my order in with BestBuy like 30 minutes ago. I have refreshed the Ellie edition page a LOT and it did pay off. Getting it in before my Gamers Club 20% off expires was icing on the cake.

Nope, I wish. I was washing my car when I checked the page that time. It took me a bunch of times to get all the way through checkout. It would remove it from my cart and say it was no longer available, but I kept adding it back and finally got it through. Pain in the butt and I wish I had a secret but it was just lucky timing when I took a break.

I found a site that has stock from ellie edition and you can pay with paypal
I can share the link to whomever can preorder 2 copies and send one to europe. Unfortunately i will be able to pay close to release day so you have to have funds for 2 copies.
Site seems legit and has an ebay page with 400+ positive votes..worst case scenario you get a refund through paypal if it doesnt come through.
