Sideshow Events And Codes

It seems like a lot of the members weren't familiar with Sideshow's reward codes and events. Unfortunately most events are announced a week before they happen so they are easy to miss. I figured I would create a master thread to keep track of these.

Note: I am not affiliated with Sideshow in any way and I don't make anything from posts like this. Just trying to help fellow collectors.


Sideshow Monthly Events

Every month Sideshow hosts an event where they have bunch of giveaways and give reward codes. Most of them are one day only, but some of the larger ones like Spooktacular (October), Geeksgiving (November), 24 days of Sideshow (December) last longer.


Reward Points

These are in store credit that you can use on your purchase. They are much more useful than any other rewards program out there

• They don't expire for 2 years so you can accumulate them to account to something large. In addition to the points you get from your purchases, Sideshow also on average gives 150-170$ worth of free reward points every year
  
• There isn't a maximum amount that you can use these reward points for. If the statue costs a 1000$ and you have that much reward points, you can in fact get the statue for free (+ shipping).
  
• You can also combine these with other coupons and discounts.

There are only two restrictions

• The total of your cart needs to be a minimum of 50$ (two 25$ items are fine for example)
  
• You can't use reward points towards shipping and tax. HOWEVER, the tax is calculated on the discounted price, so If you used reward points and the item was free, you only pay tax on shipping. This unfortunately doesn't apply to the collectors outside of US. For insurance purposes they still need to declare the item at full value so I reckon the customs will tax you on the full price

How do I get reward points:

1) Buy something from Sideshow, 5% is applied to your account automatically after 40 days (after the return period ends) which you can use towards any purchase

2) Follow their socials during their monthly events. Big ones are mentioned above. This month's event is court of the dead day (see below). (No purchase necessary, you just need a sideshow account). During these events they either drop a code on their social media or during one of their live streams (on youtube, instagram and facebook). Here is an example from last October

As you can see, they aren't hidden in anyway. Pretty obvious. All you need to do is enter that code to side.show/code. These codes are usually 2-5$ and are applied to your account immediately. They usually limit these codes to first 2000 people, so you need to be one of the first two thousand to enter it to your account. This may look like a tiny amount but bear with me. Once or twice per event their head of marketing drops by the live streams and hides a 100$ code in there in the form of a puzzle (for example he is wearing a shirt with a show/game logo and you need to enter the name of the show/game in the same link as above). 100$ codes are limited to the first 3-5 people that solve the puzzle.

3) Referrals (You get 5% of the purchases you refer)

I will try to post the reward codes as they become available but you really need to track them yourself as they reach the claim limit in about an hour.


Giveaways and Other Free Stuff

As for the free stuff:

1) During the events mentioned above they have, on average of 20-25 gleam giveaways. The items they give range from 90-800$ in value. These giveaways usually last 30 minutes, sometimes a day (unlike pure arts where giveaways last 6 months to a year), so you learn if you won pretty quickly. (This is restricted to US residents only)

2) They have these 100% promo hunts, they go live on their socials, give you a code to crack. The first 3-5 people to crack the code and enter it to the link above, gets the item for free (you just need to pay shipping). These range from 150-800$ in value.

For example, they give you the following scrambled code: A7NX9QAI
This code is out of order. You need to find the correct order and enter it. Depending on the number of characters there will be between 720 to 40,320 possibilities (the higher the possibilities the more expensive the reward). You just need to type really fast This may seem difficult but it isn't. I have never seen these challenges take more than 30 minutes (aka 3-5 people claim them within 30 minutes usually even when there are 40,000 possibilities). Once you find the correct code the system will give you a hint on what item this applies to. You find that item, add it to your cart, enter the code you found earlier and voila you have 100% off.

That's over a 100 chances every year. I won 4 things last years, 1348$ in retail value. The odds are high.

Unrelated but you also get a 25$ coupon after every purchase but they expire in a month

You're awesome! I was watching stock stuff all day and forgot about seeing this before my shower. Thanks a lot for doing this!

EDIT: Well damn they heavily time void these. Ah well I appreciate the thought and effort! I will try to actually remember to com check after seeing a reply. That was $11 free, not bad. Though to be fair that is a bit of time invested too as you got to be there ready for each one to drop.

Event Summary:

20$ worth of reward codes given
23 giveaways happened. Average participant count was 70-100 people

Coming Up:

Captain America Day - March 10th
Sideshow's birthday - March 15th-19th

The later is a long event and no doubt will be very lucrative. I highly recommend trying to participate as I anticipate close to 60-70$ in rewards for free.

If you want to be alerted about the reward codes in real time so you don't miss them, you can join the CE.org Discord. I post them there as soon as they are revealed. You are more likely to see them there in time if you enable notifications.

I am also happy to share the 100% codes with anyone who wants a free statue. I cracked both of them extremely quickly today but didn't claim them as they weren't of interest.

Yeah. As I mentioned in the original post, I didn't expect me putting the codes here be of much help they give small amounts in large quantities (to 2000 people) so that's 4000-6000$ for them each time. They would be broke if they didn't limit the time and people

In all fairness all except 2$ (so 18$) were given at the star of streams so we had the schedule for most of it

I understand that but chat is really necessary evil in cases like these (or for anything else where the time is of the essence)

If you dislike it that much I recommend at least joining around March 15th and then you can leave. As I said, I have no doubt we will see over 60$ in rewards during that event

I will keep putting them here but not much use .. I think all except the last one was claimed pretty quickly. A few members reported managing to get the last one
