Yes. I mean the collector edition steelbooks. I notice there are occasionally some differences between the EU and US steelbooks, Although they have the similar exterior design.

I am sure the darkness is slightly off. US and EU steelbooks are made in different factories so the colors are always a bit off. I can't speak for more noticeable differences tho. Havent seen anything

Just received my steelbook order today and I'm shocked. (Steelbook edition not CE)
It seems like there is a massive printing error EU wide. The design is completely covered in dots that look like dried paint. (Like a faulty paint application)
I've ordered 2 steels and can confirm both have it. The pattern varies, so I'm pretty sure it's not intentional.
Not sure if EU CEs have better prints, but I would assume they don't.
Looking around eBay suggests that all EU countries are affected. I couldn't find any US offers showing the steel with enough lighting on it, so it would be nice to know if US CEs are affected as well.

Unless some region hasn't this issue, I would not recommend buying this crap as it looks absolutely terrible.

Made some pictures for reference. Front side is completely covered, while the back side isn't as much. Back side has none.

My steelbook has those dots as well.
I did some research and I think the US version doesn't have those. They are not visible on this guys video:

At 1:40 - 1:47 you can see some spots as well, but not nearly as many as on mine. His backside seems flawless, but it's hard to tell.

Im new to RE4's steels, and it seems like there are 3 steels for the legacy systems?

There are 2 for PS2, and 1 is a gamestop tin? seems like all three are rare, though Im not sure which is the rarest. Only the tin is limited right

Yeah it seems like it. US didn't get this steelbook edition. Only way for us to acquire it was through the CE
