It depends on which country you are from, for the UK avforums is good.

Know a good one for North America, or Canada specifically?

I think AVSforum is USA and CA based.

Check them out.

Simply put in the forum a post for : Wanted Call of duty black ops pre-order Cell.

In fact you could do it early prior to release so you can inform people who have pre-ordered the game but don't want the cell.

To be honest, I think the price difference between the forum and eBay will be very small.

eBay is likely your best bet if you don't want to take the risk of it not appearing on the forums and want it a quick as possible.

Thanks, I thought it was a gaming/collectors site at first, lol.

The biggest issue for me is authenticity and damage control. I bought from EBAY before and did not have a pleasant experience.

The only time authenticity is an issue, is when the item in question has value and in turn can turn a profit. With 100,000 units and for a game that will be re-run in 12 months time. There is no profit to be made from these.

Damage from ebay can be a real issue, there are certain ebay seller that only sell collectors games and items and as such pack the best and have a fantasic return policy.

I use a specific one in the UK ebay who is very good. Don't know any in canada though. If you really want it and in the best condition, I think you will have to order from Amazon with the game.

I for one will be taking the small risk and purchase on eBay afterwards and simply ask the item to be shipped in a box.

Remember that with eBay, the seller is responsible for items until is arrives in the advertised condition. If the seller tries to tell you it was insured and that you should apply for a claim. DON'T. The claim should always be made by the seller.

All you have to do is open an case on ebay stating the item is not as described, the seller will be force to adhere to the rules of ebay and either accept a refund with you either shipping the item back or he /she paying for the postage back.

You could also work out a partial refund. Either way you are protected very well with eBay and Paypal. The seller is the one unprotected. ( speaking from past experience as past seller on ebay.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
I think I'll go for the ebay. 191 american if I go amazon vs 170 Canadian if bought from local EB Games.
I'm not very familiar with pricing for collectible posters, you said that it'll be around 2-3 Euros? (5ishCAD)

$170,

the pre-order bonus izs for any version of the game, so you can get the standard version of the game for $59.99 and still get the bonus.

I may have exaggerated the price of the cell on ebay afterwards, maybe $5-10. either way I expect shipping to cost more than the item itself.

Oh, I'm getting prestige regardless. This is just a bonus for me. I think I'm going to avoid the hassle and just get it straight from Amazon.

Thanks for all the help though!

LTTP, but where did you pre-order from, scourdx?

I preordered Black Ops from Amazon.com and got a $20 credit.
