I found this forum looking for some unboxing videos... Now I'm scared that my copy will arrive completely shattered.

How the hell they send it overseas in a plastic bag???

Well, mine arrived in a card box made of two separate card pieces that connect with tape by their sides. This basically creates the perfect weak spot when something heavy is placed over the box, smashing the box exactly by the line where the two pieces are taped. And that's what happened... And not just that. They wanted to fill the empty spaces with air bags, but there wasn't enough space for those bags. Now the box has become curvy to the inside of the cover.

Mine arrived yesterday packed exactly like V3nom's but without the gift wrap and in similar condition. I feel pretty fortunate not to have one that was totally banged up and torn like some in the other photos posted.
While Zavvi's packaging for this edition is rather sub-par, my F.E.A.R. 3 CE from boostep was shipped in nothing more than a brown paper bag. It also arrived in decent shape after spending weeks in transit/customs.

Just thankful that it didn't come severely ripped apart or bent. Pictures soon! I'm in the US btw!

What's up with the Merry Christmas? Did you choose that message or they put in a generic greeting? Cos christmas was over 2 month back

Heheh...I don't know if you're serious or not?! But to answer your question, I don't know where we got it, we've had it for a while. Pretty sure you can find them at any home goods/office store. The handles weren't modified, they came as is..

Lol I chose that message because yes, I placed the order over 2 months ago before Christmas and the gift wrapping option asked if I wanted a message to go along with it

lol you should seek refund, as that is a 'christmas message' way overdue mine is still somewhere in transit, doubt it will reach AU shores. Original 4000 copy here.. was planning to cancel and get the AU copy but then again, I forgot I used paypal method, therefore they charged me as soon as possible..

hey all just joined and i thought i would see how close i am to winning this "damaged copy of the mgs limited edition from zavvi" game

So I've personally picked up my copies from JB [sorry you couldn't do that from the UK ],
it's in mint sealed condition with no creases, dents, holes, tear or any unhealthy damages!

Although shake it like a tail feather isn't an advisable thing to do due to the heavy hardcover book and the flimsy cardboard inside trying to keep it in place




One thing I did notice is that this is obviously a UK only made edition as the outer box only displayed the UK ratings as printed on the left hand side corner. To approve this as an Australian legal copy, an Australian ratings sticker much be displayed on the box. The best part is...JB never tampered with it and just placed the sticker over the top of the shrink wrapping rather than unsealing it just to place the sticker on the box itself!

And as you'll notice in the picture below, they'd forgot to put any AU ratings sticker on top of one of my copies



EB please take note!! This is how the FFXIII-2 Crystal Edition should have been handled instead of making a blunder out of it and destroying it for a "collector's" aspect! Rawrrr
