I don't really see how it's steep. Many steelbooks comes packed with something or as a pre-order bonus. This is really no different. Sure, it's cheap now, but sooner or later there will be none left, not to mention this is only available in America at the moment. Look at the Crystal Edition of Final Fantasy XIII-2; that didn't sell in America, and soon it was selling for outrageous amounts of money, especially shipped to America!

When it comes to limited edition things, whether they're numbered or not, the price you pay for them does not always equal the price you can get for them. It's silly to be dissing a seller when many sellers here charge $40 for any steelbook--many of which they got for a lower price themselves.

Yeah,I was going to say he isnt the first person to sell his steelbook for more than what he paid. The steelbook is technically free because the $5 is from putting money down on preordering the game. Ive seen many people sell their 'free' steelbooks for the same amount and no one has bashed them lol.

Because you can literally buy multiples of these for $5 dollars. With preorder steelbooks, you get one and need to buy the game

It's still limited, only available in certain places, and is a quality steelbook like any other. Besides that, it's no one's business. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Don't bitch about it and drag down a person's topic just because you don't like his prices.

Wasn't aware that this forum is full of a bunch of kindergarteners...

Because many members of this forum are willing to help each other to locate items limited to certain areas at cost price

Used to do that myself, helping people getting items at cost. And then when I asked some people to return the favor, I got messages like "I can probably source it for you for X Euros/Dollars", X being retail price x2 or x3.

I understand both parties's points tho. Someone wants to make a profit in order to pay for his collection, other people are upset that he's not trying to disguise it. In my opinion: the price of an item is the price people are willing to pay for it. If he can't sell it for this price, he'll reduce it, otherwise some other people will pay for it. Bashing him won't change anything.

My 2 cents.

But the thing is that they are pre-order bonus items. You're suppose to pre-order the game and then you the steelbook.
Kinda worried to help with more than 3 steelbooks myself as Best Buy may ask for the steelbook back if you cancel the order. MAYBE. And I can only return a max of 3 to Wal-Mart without a receipt...dont wanna get stuck with a million copies of AC3. I guess I'll find out once I get my copies to see how they're setting it up.

For those that desperately need a steelbook cheaply, just preorder from Amazon.com (they ship overseas). Once you get the order, just sell the game if you don't want it.

Only trouble is you have to wait till the game's released, but really, what's the hurry?

Lots of people help others. Lots of people, and even those same people, also cash in on supply and demand. Sorry, but any numbered item like Dead Space ULE, or Magna Carta 2, or whatever else are NOT worth hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. That's $100 or so worth of content in there, but because someone wants it, it's worth $800, or $1000, or whatever.

If you hate this person for trying to make a profit on a limited pre-order item that is cheap RIGHT NOW (which it won't be later), then you know what's the most effective strategy against him? Neither do I, but bumping his thread over and over is not it. Real smart there.
