Wink Hey guys...

@Gwal: No man I missed out on backing Schafer's project on Kickstarter. I'm very, very upset about this. Hopefully I can get a copy of the CE or regular boxed edition on ebay when it hits...

@Sirren: You bastard...

@Hans: I am a small, specific collector so I don't see my collection growing to the point where I need large cabinets...yet. Someday when I have my own home and can do as I want. Right now I have limited space, but I use it well. All my large editions and figures I have a specific table or floor space for them. I always put a cloth under anything on the floor...

I have 2 custom made wooden shelves (open, no doors) that are very nice and I'm quite proud of them. I put all my small collector, limited and standard games on. One shelf has Playstation, Nintendo, Sega, while the other is all Xbox. The shelves were handmade here in my home with the help of my father and cousin so they're pretty special to me and still plenty of space left on 'em.

Aww, too bad indeed.

Hopefully as said before, you'll find someone disappointed by the game and selling it on the bay... or an investor trying to get some bucks out of it^^

I'm waiting for the money to back wasteland 2 ATM. And i'm watching this too:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...rce=newsletter

The game looks interesting and although they said they couldn't make a reward for a boxed copy, i still hope^^

Yea, I think you'll see much more "digital" only games and content from Kickstarter projects than you will physical. Double Fine and inXile have the financial capacity, experience and status to do that - but not many startups will unless they get way way more funding than expected...

That game does look good. Kudos for sharing! Really loving Kickstarter atm. How it's just taken off because of Double Fine and now inXile is incredible. The new "facebook" movement for video games has begun...

This will most likely be like this...

However, what may happen and what i hope, is that on the contrary some development teams will still offer big boxed games on kickstarter, as it is a strong "bait" for some people and then it's likely to bring them backers who wouldn't have helped them, or paid less, if the bonuses were digital only.

In fact that's what i would have done, backing only $15 to get the steam version instead of 110 for the box...

Hey, that makes me think about something, it may be off topic but what is the most recent big boxed game you had on PC? I mean apart from CE, just a plain big box for a standard game like in the old days...

I received a big boxed copy of FEAR 2 Project Origin, ordered in Germany because it was the cheapest price at the moment and french subtitles were available on steam. I expected a regular case and when i saw that box i was like WTF :O

That was in 2009! Those germans are amazing when it comes to pc gaming.

Well for big box PC games I only collect retro. The last big box PC game I got (that was not a CE) was Full Throttle (1994) - The Sirren helped me get it and I believe it's in the picture update I just posted here...

Cool Re: foreverflash's Collection - Passionate Collector and Caregiver Extraordinaire

I like how you limbo
I've always contemplated about getting Casa CE but I've never seen it and nor have any real idea about what it's about?!
  • I like how you opened your Raccoon City CE, do you have a spare sealed copy?
  • Notice the slight difference between the PAL and NTSC box for NG3 CE?
  • I think I got that bonus comic book for Batman ArkAsylum as well?
  • Nice update

Haha thanks Matrix. Eloquent as always.

  • What the heck is Casa?
  • No, Raccoon City is not worth keeping sealed. It's a neat little edition but very basic. I love the sign though - gorgeous...
  • What difference are you talking about w/ PAL/NTSC NG3 CE? Please point out...
  • Oh you have that mini comic too for Arkham Asylum? Nice. It was kind of special as I have never seen them for sale separate...
  • Thanks.

Casa = I was too lazy to type or copy 'Casablanca' *phew*

I do like your RC sign, I especially like how it's shrink wrapped Unlike the GTAIV license plate [well, it wasn't for us here]

The only obvious difference with the NTSC/PAL NG3 CE that I can spot is where they placed/designed the 'Move' label as you can see here; http://collectorsedition.org/forums/...2895#post52895
Yeah, the Comic was a pre-order bonus here, so I had to nab one back then
I'm still waiting to take pics of my Matrix 'Nebuchadnezzar ' ship...any ideas of a back-ground theme?

Matrix what! Holy SHIT! You know, it honestly never occurred to me that by your name and avatar you are a "Matrix" fan. Wow. Can't believe that one slipped by...now, wtf is that your talking about? A statue? Jesus man you better show pics...!

Anyway, of course the PAL version of NG3 looks better. PAL versions always look better. The US Manufacturers don't know how to make boxes. They're blooming idiots. Honestly, how is does a bubble look better than a straight line?

I collect all those big anniversary editions. They're nice - but certainly not limited. I mean Jesus man, they're always numbered in the hundreds of thousands!
