Never been into building gaming rigs, but I like my PC's to be able to play games.

Got a business account with DELL from my time with my dad's company (CAD design of heating/water services/air conditioning etc)

yeah I know I could get better specs for cheaper but I love the warranty I get and the peace of mind......any probs it's replaced right away

Got a couple of XPS PC's

Lappy:

i5 2410
4 gig ram
GT555M
500 GB HDD

Desktop:

i7 3370
12 gig ram
HD 7770
2TB HDD with 32GB SSD cached

recently upgraded the 'rig' to even higher performance levels - as it is at the moment:

i5 OC'd to 3.5Ghz (work in progress) also water-cooled via Antec Kuler 680
8Gb RAM
256Gb Samsung 830 Series SSD
500Gb Regular HD
Palit Nvidia 680 4Gb (B.E.A.S.T)
Dell 24" Monitor
+ other bits that go to make a PC

Recently been enjoying the delights of The Witcher 2 on Ultra with Ubersampling turned on - my god was i in for a treat!

Nice setup, Is that the enhanced edition or original version for witcher 2.

I have been surprised by the price drops for SSD recently, Have been thinking of upgrading the PS3 with a SSD, wonder if it will fit or even work.

In terms of modding one HDD is the same as another so SSD or otherwise will work the same way. (so long as you format it properly)

If only prices for SATA drives would come back down, surely the Thailand floods are over and they've sorted themselves out by now. Understandably, they lost a lot of stock from the floods. :/

Good to see SSD are coming down a lot, still after a 240GB/256GB but those aren't low enough unlike the 120GB/128GB ones. I do want it to be SATA III and around the 500mb/s for read and write though, not the slower ones.

My old laptop, it's not that great but I got it cheap and it has 4 speakers and a subwolfer XD

Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 / 2.0 GHz
4.0 GB DDR3 SDRAM
17 inch Display
Resolution 1440 x 900
NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GTS - 512.0

My newer laptop.

i7-720QM processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M
6GB DDR3
18.4" Display
Resolution 1920x1080

I'll probably be switching to the new Qosmio line soon, still the best laptopline that I have seen especially for the price. We have a gaming desktop but we never use it anymore.

First time I heard such brand. How long have you use this brand, and are they reliable?
