However, amazon is fool proof (so far) because anytime you get a damaged item they ALWAYS replace it no matter what as long as they have stock (and they usually have stock or always get extra for replacements). I think for what you desire (with in store) it strictly depends on location, size of store and quality of staff. If you got a great gamestop near you then awesome! My local gamestops are small and the employees don't care about handling their merchandise carefully for collectors.
