Received mine last Friday, but forgot to post

I was really impressed with the double packaging that HMV used. Not sure whether this was intentional, or whether that's how they came, but I was happy that this CE was double boxed - Especially as they shipped via Yodel!

Not quite sure why my copy of the game was lying on top outside the actual CE box, but I suppose the CE was a generic bundle used for every country, and retailers had to add the game themselves.

All in all, very happy with this CE. As if we really needed another one with a huge statue...

I think the game is actually supposed to come inside, as there's a space for it, but the actual CE box isn't sealed. I would guess that this is so they can use the same CE for the UK, Germany, France, or wherever, and retailers can then insert their country's version of the game.

If they sealed the CE's up with country-specific games inside, then that would limit where the CE's could be sold. However, this way they can repurpose the CE's if need be to satisfy demand across Europe, as and where needed

that and X360/PS3 - there's nothing on the box stating which version...really keeps the costs down.

not overly impressed TBH, the stature is more plastic looking than I expected but I want dat bullet!

will probably split & sell the rest on eBay.

waiting for the bullet pen from my PC pre-order - looks like that was the deal to go for...looks really nice, cancelled my shopto t-shirt pre-order - just doesn't look all that

Thanks for sharing the unboxing video...the bullets on the ground of the figure was a nice unexpected touch..i actually have this edition sealed...what makes me upset is first rockstar announced it has being EXTREMELY LIMITED and had a very short special pre order window for this edition..then, that was blown right open to flooding the market with this edition..i bought it during the so called "extremely limited pre order window' for $100...and fast forward today..it's still available for sale..and MORE THAN HALF OFF!!!!!..but i guess that goes for most collectors editions these days..limited edition just a BS marketing line these days.

That's true bud. Most limited editions/collector's editions aren't really limited and can usually be had at a discount a few months after release. It's usually only the CE's/LE's for big titles such as Assassins Creed 3 that usually sell out. I usually only buy CE's/LE's for big titles anyway, or games/series that I really love.

I was actually quite disappointed with the Max Payne Special Edition. First of all, the box doesn't even have any branding to distinguish what system it is for, making it really generic. The statue looks terrible...doesn't really look like Max, the paint job is crap (also too shiny) and it just looks like a kids toy more so than a quality statue. The prints...well, I just don't see the point in these really. I looked at em once then back in the sleeve and back in the box.
