I have used it for a long time now, 5yrs or so for the first one and like 3 for the second one I think. They just released the newest model but not completely there's a few more still to come that are even better than them. They are pretty reliable, especially the ones after my first one...they are perfect haha.

The next models should be here within a few months, if not weeks. The only thing I know about them is that the better models will come with 32GB of RAM :0
Also, note that if you buy one, dont go through Toshiba...there is usually a cheaper place to get them. I got my first model $400 cheaper than Toshiba site stated and $300 cheaper for the 2nd one.

Very nice looking laptop. What is the battery life like or is there no point to it.

Ehh I think the ones I have now are like 3-4hrs but that's running it without full power options. I think the last model may be up to 6hrs. The newest ones is apparently like 2hrs but that's good enough for me because Im always on the go but Im always near a power source.

Gaming on pretty much any laptop on battery alone will burn it very quickly. Does that have switchable graphics or does it always run on the dedicated GPU?

I thought my XPS17 was big but damn a 18.4 inch display!?!? That thing must be HUUUGE!

It saves a lot of battery power if it switches to the integrated graphics when not gaming.

Mine uses Optimus to switch from the GT555M to the intel HD 3000 graphics when not gaming.....Makes it a hell of a lot cooler and quieter too :p

I just went and looked at the page again and yes, it does have that feature. I just assumed it came with it XD And I just read I can wirelessly display the laptop to HDTV's not sure which ones though. Kinda cool.

Just finished putting my new rig together!

Specs:

Intel Core i7 3770K, Ivy Bridge overclocked to 4.3ghz.
16gig Corsair Vengeance Arctic White ram
SLI 2GB EVGA GTX 680,
850W Corsair Pro Gold AX850
2x 240GB Corsair Force Series 3
2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA
3TB Western Digital Caviar Green
LG BH10LS38 Blu-ray Writer

The whole thing is watercooled and has a black/white contrast theme - the case, RAM and watercooling pipes are white, but everything else internally is black where possible. I like the contrast!

I based it on the Scan cyclone system.

Also picked up a new Deathadder BE and Qck Heavy to go with it!
