Personally, i think you could get more from the right press kit or metal gear collector. Dont underestimate metal gear fans!
Seems there are 3 different variants, the spanish kit, which was handed out at press event, french version with leaflets, and the italian version that myplay.it has (which is disappointing imho, pen is not metal gear branded but just konami, just like the watch).
I dont know for how much he sold it, but asking price was 370.

Ryaku is not trying to sell it Ingmar1988, he wants to purchase it for himself. The press kit for sale by myplay.it had a way overpriced asking for its quality and contents. I believe there were 2000+ press kits made for MGS4 so EUR 250-300 ($310-400 approx) seems to be a more than reasonable price, in fact a generous offer. Anything over EUR 300 would be overspending IMHO.

I would say you can get it for less than 200€.
I lost one a while back on ebay for around 120€, so if you're a little persistent i would say 200€, maybe a little less is the price to go.

Where did you get the 2000 number? (is it because most press kits are produced around that number, at least sony ones are, with i think uncharted 2 and heavy rain having the highest production number). There might be 2000 tins, but for a fact i know my spanish kit is way, way more rare. Maybe a few dozens copies, because it was only handed out at press event in barcelona.

I have a friend who works in IGN (my press kit source) who has this kit. He told me a rough number since i have been looking for it recently. the tin was also distributed in some events with misc goodies in form of swag kits. I am pretty sure that a significant number more than just a dozen exist of these kits.

As for the Uncharted, both drakes fortune press kit and UC2 press kit came in excess for 4000, perhaps the UC2 kit in bit more numbers. The MGS4 press kit is like similar case, there are way more floating than people know and hence more sought after.

Something similar to the UC2 promo journal as well. While some sold it here on the forum for $ 500-$700, I bought it for $150 off ebay:

It just depends how patient you are in waiting for good deals for such items (as it depends on its condition), a ball park price figure for these is difficult to gauge

PS: While as I said a ball park figure for such items is difficult to gauge, I always cap them at certain values. Above which they are not worth it IMHO.
