Decided to cancel my order. It's a beautiful set and worth the money (if I didn't have to pay shipping costs) but I've got a gut feeling capcom have made more than there is in demand after seeing they're latest money grabbing antics. Even though this is numbered, I'm struggling to see this retaining initial value. I could be wrong. And if I wasn't paying the additional postage costs, I probably wouldn't cancel. But, I dunno man. Just not feeling it...

The shipping from amazon isn't too expensive though? I've got priority shipping and it's only 25 usd xx

Yeah shipping is good with Amazon.com but the import fees on the other hand is what's making my wallet cry.

Screw you UK, seriously screw you and your crap tax.

I just cancelled my pre-order also..demand appears to be soft..it's been available for several months now and no retailer as sold out of their allocation when were just more or less days from release..i see the price coming down some..plus there appears to be plenty to go around..first reports i read it was to be exclusive to 3 retailers in the USA...gamestop, capcom usa store and amazon..now it's up for sale at a dozen different retailers and seems like there's lots and lots being made available..even though it's limited and numbered,..it's probably like 250,000 of them

This import tax deposit is in place as Amazon is trying to save us the hassle of the package being with held via customs thus causing delays until you paid them the dreaded import VAT/tax which is I think 20% of the original value.

This only applies to products outside the EU bought from over the net though but there is a certain limit which I can't remember but it's pretty petty. I think it depends on who ships it on Amazon.com, like I don't have import fee deposit on the Avengers Box set but this I do. Although I'm unsure of the real reason behind this, maybe these is shipped from a warehouse within the EU or maybe a different product.

I am going to cancel as well for the time being just because the US is pumping billions into the economy to kick start job creation and stuff every month and making interest rates low as hell (as close to zero I believe) and as a result making the US$ weak. This is a big plus as the dollar to a pound is decreasing which makes importing alot less expensive. It was like 0.64p to 1 USD before, today it's like 0.6176p to a dollar and dropping =D

As an example using a before and after rate, I believe after everything this amounts to 195USD.

Before - ~0.64p to $ = 0.64 * 195 = £124.80
Now - 0.6176p to $ = 0.6176 * 195 = £120.43

Back in the day before the recession, I believe the lowest rate I seen was 0.47p to $, that is like £91.65 for this!

Demand is soft as no one from the fighting game community is buying this. Most street fighter fans would already own the majority of the content in this set, plus having a large portion of the content on DLC vouchers instead of physical disc is a massive fail and will really hurt the resale value of this set.

Unfortunately this is just another classic case of Capcom trying to milk existing products and squeeze more money out of consumers, rather than trying to please it's fans. I think this will be available for quite some time after release.

Feeling exactly the same. Might cancel it tonight. What with other stuff coming out (DJ Max!) that's actually sold out on pre-order. Street Fighter for life, but...I dunno.
