i don't understand the skyhigh prices for the mirror edge steelbook, granted it was exclusively available but steelbook the company requires a minimum order in the thousands for retailers etc to make it viable for both parties..so definitely there are thousands that were made...i looked into steelbook the company and these days they won't manufacter if it's less than 4000 so this is just my rant as far as why is this one the grail when it comes to steelbooks?..because we "think" there rare?..since somebody started the rumor it is and took off from there?

It's rare cos it's not too easily available tho it seems to appear much more on ebay now. Probably cos spain economy is bad. The prices have come down a lot as a result. If I guess I'd say maybe 90% of steelbooks go to non-collectors who get it when they buy the game and they don't take care of the steelbooks. So the number of mint/decent ones is actually much lower. Unless you want a crap shit rusty/busted one, the price is not gonna be cheap. In some cases, even busted ones aren't cheap

I personally think it's overhyped and there are much rarer ones out there.

Agree with that... much harder to see a Saints Row 2 or ACII come up but I actually like the Mirror's Edge Steel and would still like one but waiting for the right price one day!! LOL

Think that guy in Spain has most of the 4000 anyway!!

Funny how the game is so undervalued and the steel overvalued... always prefer the steels of the games I like best..
