The photo of the journal is it opened up to show two inner pages.

The wall chart does look different, but that could be due to the fact that the images were mocked up, not photos of ACTUAL items, so there would/could be differences.

The cloth map you can't even see clearly in the image as it's blocked by the stickers and logo, etc xx

No, that was a random on the internet showing the photo of their copy. It could have been a 2K/Gearbox member, not sure, but again, even if it was, they didn't state that it would be limited to 53K worldwide - that was still our doing xx

Ah, didn't notice that about the Journal. It looked like it was flat in the picture, didn't realize it was two pages of it.

Yeah, I think we sometimes get a little too protective of our expectations and rights. In the cold light of day it's still a nice CE even if it didn't meet our expectations of a "holy grail" edition that we managed to get at the expense of those who didn't.

Well now it's a level playing field and EVERYBODY who wants one can have one.

Having said that, i still think that games companies, publishers and online outlets could be a bit more efficient and less money-grabbing - customer service STILL stinks

I'm very sad that this kind of scamming happens. I fell for Duke Nukem - BOSE scam earlier so i didnt want to take risk of ordering any collectors editions from Gearbox.

I personally am satisfied with the Loot Chest, but that's just me. I think the way they are legally safe to basically show us a picture of whatever will make us flock to buy it (ie: XXXXXout of 53k) is that little asterisk thats always under the description of every CE I've looked at:

*Cover art and content subject to change

or something along those lines.
