Default PS£ Deus EX HR CE packaging farce

Received my copy of the PS3 Deus Ex Human Revolution CE today and . . .well, I'm absolutely stunned. Not by the package - which is quite nice - but by the packaging.

It comes in a lovely solid matt-black box with a cardboard half-sleeve attached to the front top and front bottom of the box. This is attached by . . .guess what ?? STICKY GUM - the kind they use to stick free items to magazines. Three top, three bottom which, when removed, leave six lovely blobby marks on your pristine new box.

Having got over the shock of that, once inside the box you notice that the wafer-thin plastic packaging is so cheapskate and flimsy that it has cracked in several places leaving the inside of your lovely CE looking a right mess as well.

Whoever designed this packaging should be strung up by the bollocks with chicken wire. Then to add insult to injury there's no way to e-mail either Eidos or Square Enix with a direct complaint.

No good complaining to Gamestation either because a) it's not their fault and b) even if they send another it will still have the same intrinsic problems.

I'd be hopping mad if this were a £40 CE but for £85 it's a bloody disgrace and yet another example of how much contempt publishers have for the gamer willing to spend a bit more.
