I have just checked out the GAME website to find the following links for Sniper: Ghost Warrior on the PS3:
Standard - http://www.game.co.uk/en/sniper-ghost-warrior-110799
Special Edition - http://www.game.co.uk/en/sniper-ghos...edition-146534
The standard edition has been out since earlier in the year, that much we know, so we can ignore that listing. However, the Special Edition doesn't make it clear whether it's a SteelBook or DigiPak, nor whether it's the same as what is being called the "Bulletproof Edition"
Where did this SteelBook rumour come from in the first place? Clearly GAME have no details on their page for this Special Edition. Do any other retailers have this? Where did the "Bulletproof Edition" come from?
I have also yet to see any actual photo's of any other edition in this thread which differs from the standard original release. All I have seen is a stock pic showing a SteelBook, which we believe was cancelled by Ubisoft
Also, this Special Edition which GAME have on their site is also available for the X360, which was supposed to have been released on the 16th of September:
X360 - http://www.game.co.uk/en/sniper-ghos...edition-146537
Any news on whether this edition exists?

Yeah, I must admit this is one of the most obscure and confusing steelbooks that I've come across brought about mainly by GAME/Station's vague description on their website.
It was by pure accident that I saw a couple of the "Bulletproof" steelbook PS3 versions lurking in the shelves of one of my local GAME outlets.
Went back and bought the only one left a coupla days later . . .here's the proof

Here's a few pics of the whole package . . .
There's also a poster but the pic didn't come out for some reason. If anybody desperately needs to see it then I'll take another on request.

Based on what we know now, i believe the online 360 "Special Edition" is just the standard packaging + dlc. I would bet that the PS3 "Special Edn" is, in fact, the steelbook - because it costs more.
Just glad i spotted a physical copy because it eased the confusion just a little. The girl in GAME where i purchased mine did confirm that it had only just been released.
