Of course if the majority of the goods manufactured are not affected then the company would not publicize the facts.
Evidently these manufacturing "defects" occurred during manufacturing of either the boxes/printing or packaging as consumers receive their goods in satisfactory condition on the outer parcel box, and yet when they open it, only to reveal large damages to the Troll box. I've heard of cases where the Troll box have received gashes and holes so large it looked liked it got a good punch in the face!
It would be devastating to open up a very sought after edition that cost a substantial amount of money and to be surprised/shocked with contents in unsatisfactory condition.
We all know that the whole Zavvi MGS HDC LE debacle was caused by Zavvi's incompetency to deliver goods in appropriate packaging, ergo, receiving goods in atrocious conditions. As for KoA: Reckoning [Troll boxes in particular]...it should be the manufacturers responsibility to oversee the process of all 1600 Troll boxes.
